PhD on animals in rock art

The Department got a very special email from professor Joanna Brück at UCD School of Archaeology where she has a multi-person project with room for a PhD that’s not been filled yet! The project will look into human-animal relations in the Bronze Age and focus on the main domesticates and while they’d be applying all the usual scientific approaches the project also has a place for a study of animal iconography, which amongst other things will be looking at representations of the main domesticates in Nordic rock art.

She’s looking for a graduated Master student that might be interested and have extended the deadline to 4 November with the aim for the PhD to start in January or May 2023.

So if you’re an alumni of ours with an interest in rock art, Bronze Age or other related topics check out the link below and apply before the 4th!
