Discover the Byzantine World – Virtual Open Day

We sometimes get questions about what a student who are interested in the Byzantine era and culture should do to advance their studies and it’s not a speciality of our deprtment. Here, on the other hand, is where the specialisation happens!

Thinking of pursuing graduate studies in Byzantine history and culture? Join us for a Virtual Open Day to learn more about the MA in Byzantine Studies and the Latin East at the University of Cyprus.

This interdisciplinary MA programme, taught in English, explores the Byzantine world and its interactions with the medieval Mediterranean through history, philology, art history, and archaeology. Based in Cyprus—a region central to Byzantine and Crusader history—the programme offers students a unique opportunity to study the medieval Eastern Mediterranean in its historical landscape.

During the session, members of the teaching staff will introduce the programme, present their research areas, and answer questions about the curriculum, study opportunities, and career paths.

📅 Wednesday, 18 March🕢 19:30 Cyprus time (EET / UTC+2)Equivalent times:
• 18:30 Central European Time (CET)
• 17:30 UK (GMT)
• 12:30 Eastern Time (US)

The event is open to prospective students and anyone interested in Byzantine and medieval studies.
